About Veronica
Veronica Pejril is an experienced leader with a trusted track-record of principled legislative experience at the municipal level. As Indiana's first transgender elected official, Veronica is familiar with the challenges of serving a community while breaking ground and blazing trails. Her unique voice will be essential in the Indiana State Senate, to restore the healthcare freedoms and civil liberties that a majority of Hoosiers have seen eroded in recent years by big-government overreach at the hands of the supermajority in the Indiana General Assembly. Veronica is guided by her values, including her faith, her family and her deep commitment to community service. As the only candidate for District 24 with legislative policy making experience, Veronica will be ready on day-one to craft bills that better the lives of every Hoosier. About District 24
With a population over 130 thousand people, District 24 includes both rural and suburban townships in Hendricks and Putnam Counties, including both county's seats. Our district features farms, hunting lands, trails, historic covered bridges and churches, as well as a nationally recognized university, shopping malls, industrial properties and one of the largest railroad yards in the state. The people of District 24 are as diverse as its landscape. In Putnam County, District 24 includes the Townships of Clinton, Floyd, Franklin, Greencastle, Jackson, Madison, Marion, Monroe and Russell. In Hendricks County, included Townships are Center, Clay, Franklin, Lincoln, Marion and Washington.
